i'm a senior in high school and considering to join the marines...
i'm thinking about being a cook.
how come everyone laughs about that job??
what do they do besides cook?
i know is stressfull.. but i'm up to the challenge. ha, im down!
an addition, i'm little confuse about guranatee fields and not guranatee job??
if i get guranatee field as a cook what else i might be doing?

"how come" is not proper English. You shouldn't even be a cook if you don't know proper grammar by now. Stay in school, go to college, and take some basic English classes, please. When you can speak & type correctly, then you can join. Also, if you get a college degree, you can join as an officer and have a much better job than "cook." You'll also make a lot more money doing it. |

Because you're not going to be like a chef. you're going to open drums of dehydrated potatoes and add water.
Are you sure you want to join the Marines for that reason? Do the Air Force if you want to be a cook, it's much easier. |

you'll cook... and you'll learn how to assemble and take down the field kitchen.... that's it, the rest of the time you sit around... that's why people laugh... I have friends who are cooks... they hate it and they are so mad at MEPS because the classifier told them it was a great job |

Hey men, do what ever your heart tells you to do. There will always be a smart *** like Future history teacher that will try to **** peoples mind.
People like that are not worth of listening nor to pay attention. Focus on what you want to do and what make you happy. Live your life and be free to make your own choices.
If you want to be a cook in the marines, try to be the best of all. |
