Because the UN are useless money absorbing hypocrites.
The food for oil scandal, their unwillingness to enforce weapons sanctions on Iraq (which resulted in America invading the country) are only two prime examples.

The nations oppressive to their own citizens who stand on the Human Rights council are a testament to what a joke the UN is.

The rest of the world would be a pretty scary place if not for the US. We are best country on the planet, we've proved it and still have a majority of those who still believe it. Bring it on, I say. I will fight for this country. As a matter of fact, I would start cleaning from the inside out.

Joe Canada most of your statements are incorrect and you obviously don't know of what you speak. America has the largest gdp in the world which makes it the world largest economy. In one question you asked you said that the U.S. is not a 1st world country any more that is absolutely retarded. The definition of a 1st world country is a democracy with highly advanced technology and a high standard of living. Then you made the statement Canada gets more immigrants than American which is not true if you count the number of immigrants coming here illegally. In regards to your statement about China being able to crush us before we could even send an air craft carrier. China has no Blue water navy to speak of its soldiers training is questionable at best and have no battle experience. China has only one aircraft carrier from the 70,s. Their air force is second rate.Their is more to a military than numbers. The U.S. has a standing army of 1,300,000 soldiers if you count all the services . China's is 2,500,000 million. Ares are volunteers Chinas are conscripts. China has said itself that military at this point they can't compete with the United States. I have lived in Canada and it is a fine country but in my opinion the only tangible benifit of living in Canada is universal heath care. Other than that I do not see any other advantages to living in Canada over the United States. In my opinion neither the Canadian or America economy is better than the other because they are both mutually dependant. 70 percent of both Canadas and the U.S. trade to each other. The only reason the Canadian dollars is worth more than the U.S. dollars is because of the high price of gas per barrel and the fact that 90% of the oil that the U.S. consumes is bought from Canada. So you can't say that Canada has better economy that America because they are so closely linked. The U.S. does not have to be the best at anything to make it a good country to live in. Their is nothing that Canada is best at in the world that doesn't make it a bad country to live in. You make list of things such as largest economy biggest most populated richest and the U.S, will be pretty close to the top. Its seen betters days. For example when Clinton was in office it was a pretty dam good country to live in. Its only been in the last 8 years with Bush that things have started to go down hill. Are economy was in pretty good shape and Clinton had the budget balanced and then Bush ****** it all up. When he gets out things will get better.

well brainiac, your wrong about the Aircraft carrier scenario. we have Carrier at see at all times so they would be able to react to China rather Quickly. China also doesn't have the means to reach us by any means in substantial numbers.
How would the UN Invade us? they have no Army at their command. How would the rest of the countries of the world get their troops on to American soil? they would have to go through either Canada or Mexico, and it would take them a long time to get their troops into those two countries, do you think we would not notice the build up?

There's a difference between practical terrorism and diplomatic terrorism. Typically, diplomatic terrorism is a lot easier to get away with.
