How do I join Special Forces at 18?

If you are interested in a SF, then go for it. Once you enlist, you'll have regular BT (Basic Training). After your basic Training, you'll need to take your ASVAB. After your AVSAB (you'll have to score kind of high for SF's), you can then choose your career. If you wish to go through with it, training in 1.5 years for most SF. It has nothing to do as to who was there longer.

you have to earn the right to even try to be a ranger and have a certain amount of time served. dont know for sure call your recruiter

your not going to advance that fast sorry there are hundreds of guys who have been in way longer who will get the job first

You have to be 20 years old to try out for Special Forces. But you can enlist with the Option 40 with Airborne in your contract and go to RIP. After you reach the rank of Sgt. you could apply to go to SFAS to see if you get selected for SF.

If you went in at 18, then you'd still be learning basic soldier skills, and the SF don't want any of that.

i think that it has to time so that you are 21yrs by the time of graduation from SF training
i do not know about ranger
there is a fair difference in mind set between ranger and SF
but i realize that there are a lot who have done both

There is alot of varience in your question, but I'll try my best:
You cannot, at the age of 18, join the army with a Special Forces contract. You need to not only qualify (at BCT), but you also need to be needed. You could qualify and want to go and request to go and still not go. You do need to be atleast 20 years old do apply for Special Forces. Also, you do not have any choice in waht unit or regiment you would join if you did join the Rangers. They would pick it. What I reccomend it that you go to a recruiter, if you don't know where a recruiter is go here: http://GoArmy.com and clic locate recruiter, tell your recruiter that you want to join Special forces, but you're going to join as a Ranger MOS first. Then he will put you in and you'll get shipped off to Basic with the next bus. After BCT (9 weeks) you'll go to AIT where you will recive your Ranger training. After that you get 2 weeks of leave. Then you can proceed to apply for Special Forces and reenlist as a Special Forces Member and take AIT again as a Special Forces Member.

You have to be 20 to get an 18x contract, but if you go as an infantryman they could give the contract at basic if you a stud that's where i got my contract and my buddy was 18 and they gave him one but i wouldn't plan on getting the contract. your best bet is to get an airborne slot then go to RIP and become ranger to grow up for a few years then go to selection, however if you are a ranger and what to go SF, ranger batt looks down on that because they're all hooah hooah and such. but it is possible if you have a good GT score (above 110) and a good pt score (at least 290) and it wouldn't hurt to know a second language that is how my friend got his (he speaks spanish and portuguese)
