Hey, I'm 13 but i really wanna be a pilot, for like a fighter or something, anyway how do i join?

It's easy, you walk into a recruiters office, and ask "where do i sign?"
You still got a few years to go before you can even think about it though... don't sweat it |

If you want to be a pilot, you will need to become an officer. The best way to do that (in your situation) is either go to college and join AFROTC or go to the Air Force Academy. If you join ROTC, I would recommend a major in aeronautics or engineering. You have plenty of time to decide, so I wouldn't worry about it now. |

First to fly you have to be an officer, so that requires a college degree. Stay in school, get good grades, and look into the Junior Reserve Officer Training Candidate (JROTC) programs. Its like learning about the military while you are still in school. You'll get to wear uniforms and do drill, etc. They will show you what the service is like and can help with college and scholarships that lead to commissions.
Its tough to become a pilot, but you're the right age to start planning. |

Well, to be a fighter pilot you have to be really smart so study hard. Then, during your senior year of high school you will want to talk to a recruiter about enrolling into the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This requires a lot of effort and some hard studying on your part. Good Luck! |

Finish high school, get your college degree- you should shoot for a college that has Air Force ROTC. If you join and participate for a minimum of two years (preferably 4), then when you graduate you will get your commission. It will help you get to be a pilot if you put in some flight hours and major volunteer hours.
Also, any leadership positions you can get in sports or activities during high school will help. |
