Many single soldiers (+airmen, marines, etc) meet online. They are often out of the country, training, going to schools, and just busy in general. Let me give you a tip while I am thinking about it....while it may be romantic to date/marry a soldier (and other military as well), be sure you understand the committment and sacrifice required on YOUR part to be a part of the relationship. If you are looking for a normal 9-5 kind of job in your s/o, then the military isnt for you. They work alot, they train alot, they stink alot, and they deploy alot. If that isnt ok with you, stop your search now and find a civilian. It is a wonderful life if you can deal with the downsides.
Back to the search....soldiers are busy living their life and doing their jobs. And many military installations are next to small towns and the selection can be pretty small. That is why it is so much easier to meet a good match online. Pick an installation, then do a search on, say, yahoo personals. Ft Stewart (home of the 3rd Infantry Division) is close to Hinesville, Georgia and Savannah. So if you do a search for men in your age range in Ft Stewart or Hinesville, GA, you will get some hits. They will usually say if they are military, but you can definitely tell by the haircut.
I met my husband online...though not through a personal ad....we met playing yahoo cribbage. Wasnt looking, he just happened along....but good luck in your search. |

Go to the E-club, any bar near a military base...or just move to san diego...there are plenty to go around there. |

One place is a Veteran's Hall. They meet there on a regular basis such as steak feeds or when there is a meating to discuss. |

If you are a professional female then why do you want to meet a military man? The military, on the whole, are not professional. The military will take anyone. ( One can have a 9th grade education and the military will take them) Military men are gone 9 months out of a year and they step out on their wives all the time. Plus 50% of the marriages end in Divorce. You move every three years so you will have to find a job all the time. Most of all, (This is important to you) your job will come in second best. That is your job is not as important as the military man. He can be a janitor and you can be a CEO and his job will come first. So do you "really" want to meet a military man? |

Place a w4m ad on Craigslist in any military town. Fayetteville, NC would be a good start. You have nearly twenty thousand paratroopers stationed there, I'm sure there are enough to fill your inbox with e-mails. Chose carefully. |

Go to a military base and go to a club... enlisted man's club, non commissioned officers club, or an officers club. Drinks are cheap and there are tons of guys to talk to. |

No, no, just kidding. Wherever there is a base, there are favorite local watering holes nearby. Most military guys like to frequent them. Dont want to meet 'em in a bar off of a nearby base? I cant honestly tell you anywhere else that a bunch of military guys would congregate except at work, or, unless you know one of them at a friends house.
Just like anything - there are good ones and bad ones. Oh yeah, dont beleive all of the "Yeah, I fly a jet" stories, they might not even work on them. |

Join the military. You wont have a problem meeting single military men. My husband was stationed in Germany, and we had many single friends that would have loved any girl that was interested in them, however, I dont think that they were looking for a long tem relationship since they deploy so often. |
