How do you cut your hair like a marine?

Depends on what sort of cut you are looking for (there are several different styles worn by Marines)....the one that I find most appealing is a medium reg. They start with a Zero at the nape of the neck to just above the ears, then they fade up from there to about a 4 on top. A high and tight is shorter and closer shave .

*my hubby was a Marine...and if you aren't in a Military town...it can be difficult to get a military regulation cut. So you are better off to use the # scale after giving them the cut name. I finally learned how to do my hubby's hair myself once he was out and we had moved away...it was the only time he got result he was looking for.

Tell the barber that you want a "high and tight" and they will understand that term.

high and tight, or 0 -3 inches, your hair can not be longer than 3 inches, and must be a zero at the bottom

its called a "HIGH and TIGHT" skin on the sides and a 4 guard on top, that's my personal preference. I'm Air Force but have worn my hair like that for 13 of my 14 years (took a while to grow it back after basic but then I couldn't stand it, high and tight ever since)

wich is what most marines have after boot camp. just tell him you want a crew cut. take this pic in and say buzzed on the sides and short on the top.. hope I could help.
