I don't feel anything! What about the cultural castration of the African people. Worldwide exploitation. How do YOU feel about THAT?!? |

It happened.
We MUST learn about it
We MUST never forget it happened.
We must keep it in our history so we do not repeat it. |

The Holocaust evokes some very powerful emotions in me. Have you watched Schindler's List? Awesome movie, and another is Life is Beautiful, if you can handle reading subtitles all the way through, it is better than Schindler's List, not quite as intense but powerful none-the-less! |

It was a very dark, very bad chapter in humanity. What on earth am I supposed to think about it? |

There have been events in human history so horrendous that they strain our ability to even grasp. This was one such event. These must be studied and remembered if we have any hope of preventing reoccurences |

I think it is a horrible chapter in human history, that shows how easily people can be manipulated to follow and support a person as evil and insane as Adolph Hitler. At the same time, it has shown the resilience of people and the compassion of others who risked their lives to save lives (such as Oscar Schindler). Unfortunately, there is still horrible genocide being comitted (Darfur), when will mankind learn? |

The lesson to be learned is that a modern society, with art, culture, freedom, liberty, media, social graces, beauty, etc, can be twisted, amazingly easily, into a hateful, bigoted evil force.
Germany in the 30's wasn't some backwoods illiterate country. It was a free, open, democratic society.
We must constantly be vigilant of hate, bigotry and intolerance of others. If it can happen there, it can happen here, or anywhere. There is much to learn from that horror. |

I think I have to agree with others, it was a very tragic time, long ago. I think if I were around back then I would have felt terrified, helpless and disgusted. But so were other incidents. Look what the black slaves went through. Some of them still think we owe them today. I wasn't even around then. We must all learn lessons from our history and move on. |

I would encourage anyone to visit the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC and then decide. |

It seems a good reason to oppose Socialist Dictators. They all seem to do the same thing - kill off anyone who they deem 'inconvenient' or 'offensive'.
Hitler (Socialist Workers Party), Mussolini (Socialist party), Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Saddam, Kim Jong Il... when will people learn from history? |
