Most people who have ended joining the military did not know if it was for them until they joined. I love the Army and would have not changed my decision to become a Soldier. Only you will know if its for you. Talk to all the branches and see which one best fits you and your future goals and interests.

I didn't know the military was for me until I went to the recruiters office. It really wasn't for me, but I wanted something diffrent and I needed to get out of the town I was in. I was in 4 years and I've been to places I would have never gone to if I hadn't joined the miltary. I met my husband in the military and we have 3 kids and couldnt' be happier. Would have never met him if it hadn't ben for the military. Also went to Iraq for a year. It's not something I enjoyed, but it was an experience and if I had to I would do it all over again. If you think you might be interested go down and talk a recruiter and see what they say. Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.

i knew it was for me when i found out i had the oppurtunity to travel to other countries, go to school and the army actually pay for it, meet and make knew friends from all over the world, and if you get a high score choose a job that''s perfect for you when you do decide to get out like me i was a mortician and got a 5000 bonus when i passed everything from basic and moturary affairs school

not to mention free medical and dental
i had fun and have and extended family
but they're bad sides to it all so DO YOUR HOMEWORK ABOUT THE MILITARY AND DON'T LET RECRUITERS LIE TO YOU

I don't know if its right for you or not. Lots of people just can't hack it, or have excuses why its not for them.

There are lots of bad days, but its not just you! You and all your buddies are going thru it together. It is quite a bond.

Its not about going to other countries and killing others, only an uninformed sycophant would say that. Its about being a professional, and being good at what you do...protecting yourself, your buddies, and your country.

I wondered the same thing before I went in. You will adjust to anything. Before you know it you will feel like it is where you were meant to be. After a couple months you won't be so "new" anymore and you will see other new guys come in and they will look to you for advice.

It will be a great experience, and your enlistment will be over before you know it. Trust me on that! Then, you'll miss it like crazy.

if u like taking orders and waking up at 4 inca morning to do pt and like shooting guns then u will love the military
