How does one qualify for the navy "at sea fire party" or "flying squad"?

are there special qualifications involved in being assigned to one/both of these groups, im going into the navy as a DC, but id like to specialize mainly in the fire fighting aspects of that rating, any help?

For starters, if you are going DC, you will qualify for fire party after your a school. As a DC, after some experience you will be ready for the "flying squad". Fire Party are divisional reps that care about the safety of the ship (or those that have gotten in trouble and assigned as a punishment).
Flying Squad- when you hear that called away, get out of the way if they are coming toward you. They are the emergency response team.

Specialized training at Navy schools, on hand training on board (called drills) and personal qualifications standards tests. All ratings are to be found working in the fire party on board any ship as part of the general quarters station.
