how hard did your parents work to get you to do something they really wanted you to do?
now, consider that the recruiter gets PAID to do that same thing your parents did for free.
if you are a physically and mentally promising prospect, the Recruiter will do what he needs to do to get you to sign on the dotted line.
just dont make your enlistment a game. if the Recruiter finds out or figures out you are messin with him and he is still successful getting you to sign up, you may be in for a rough time in boot camp. Recruiters do talk to Recruit instructors, you know. |

LOL...I can't believe you could even get a recruiter to try harder than they already do! Didn't they just get their hands slapped for using underhanded techniques to drive up their enlistment rates? (i.e. promising people that they won't have to go to Iraq if they enlist, etc.) |

Best way to get a Recruiter to try his/her hardest is to be completely honest with him/her, and to show a genuine interest in joining FOR YOU. Offering to help recruit more people is actually part of your duties in Future Soldier Program, and those referrals are for your benefit(to get you promoted) not your recruiter's. |

He will work very hard. If you tell him you have friends you can help him recruit, he will try even harder. The most desperate services are the Army and the Marines and the Navy. In many jobs the Air Force is overstrength. |

Depends. How hard are YOU willing to work to enlist? If you are 75 lbs overweight, they won't be very motivated to help you until you show them you are able and willing to lose the first 60 by yourself. How high is your ASVAB score? what are you qualifed to do? Do you have any other issues that could hinder your enlistment? Bottom line is, there are standards that must be met, and the recruiters have to know that you are capable and willing to meet them before they waste any time on you whatsoever. |

Depends on the branch. Prior to 9/11 I had gone to see an Air Force and Army recruiter and they pratically mauled me with phone calls. Then I found out that I had enough money for school and started avoiding them. Now I'm aiming for the Coast Guard and the lady barely remembers I exist. I'm half tempted to join the Navy just so I can feel special for ten minutes. |

Just tell him you will go to another recruiter, or another branch. he has to fill a certain number of jobs every month, so he might be waiting on next month to get you in. it is a game they play, to fill their numbers. I know I was a requiter. They hold 1 or 2 from one month and put you in the next month. It makes there next month a little easier. Talk to his company commander, you can get in fast if you want. That is his boss and the captian will get you moving. |

When I signed with the marines my recruiter drove 45 min. just to talk to me. He made the drive several times. They work hard to make sure you understand everything. If you have any questions they're more than willing to answer. My recruiter told me that(i'm in the Delayed entry program) that if i recruit at least two people that i will get a small raise and get promoted from private to private first class. So yeah, they work hard as far as i can tell. |

A lot depends upon your scores on the ASVAB, your particular interests, the availability of the training for those interests, the recruiter's "hot list", and your ethnic makeup. Chances are, if you are a caucasian male with a clean record and decent ASVAB scores, you'll probably get what you want or close to it. But if you are, say, an asian/eskimo/jewish combination female with a clean record and decent ASVAB scores, you'll likely get whatever you want, plus a bonus and a promotion just for inquiring about enlisting. Ain't Affirmative Action just great? |

It's all voluntary. If you're wanting to play some sort of a game with the recruiters and waste their time, please move on to wasting the time of car salesmen. It's not like you're going to get special treatment because you say you know people. |
