How long do I have to re enter the army after being out on an general discharge?

I joined the army in july 2006 and got out in jan 2007 on general discharge my dd214 says my reentry code is 3 and i was wondering how long do i have to re enter into the army before i have to repeat EVERYTHING again (i.e basic, ait)?-thanks in advance

I'd say after about a year they might make you take a few refresher courses. They might treat you like a nubee but you will have your ould rank back so they cannot totally disrespect you.

You don't have to redo basic. You can try to get back in but of course you will need a waiver. The military is not really taking back to much prior service unless you have a RE1 and require no medical waivers.

If they do let you in you probably won't have to redo AIT but depends on the MOS.

right now, not going to happen. any PS who needs a waiver is NOT getting said waiver to re enlist.

RE3s need a waiver.

anybody out more than 3 years anyway..isn't getting back in at all
