My husband is coming HOME on sept 29th. From Afganistan. When will he be back in the states( ft. bragg) for demob? And how long does it take. Bc they are home home on sept.29th. Just curious..as to when he will be back in the states. so i can sleep at night.

The exact information to that is what we call a violation to opsec... we cant really disclose information like that because it could put your husband and his crew in harms way... Afghanistan right now is getting a little... rough.
Just posting that his return date to the states is considered an opsec violation... Im not picking on you or nothin, I know your eager to see him, and I am happy that its not going to be to long to do so.
Typcially if he will be demobilizing - he will recieve block leave or a 96 hour pass after debriefing (once at home)
The debriefing and physical and gear accountability can take up to 5 days. Its unlikely to determine the exact day he will be home. BUT!!! you can always go ask his forward command element that has been left in the rear. Also if they have a wives organization you could ask them too..
Please dont think I was picking on you, I have a pretty decent idea of when you will see him... but for his saftey, and to make sure YOU DO SEE him, its the best that dates are never discussed.
I wish you the greatest time together once he returns back to you... keep praying, were being looked after by someone... |
