If you changed it on the DFAS website it will take effect the next pay date as stated on the top of the change form submitted. So, if you change it on the 6th it will be changed for pay on the 15th but if you wait until after the 12th you will NOT see the change until the 1st of the month. Changes MUST be made by the deadlines which are usually about 8-10 days prior to the actual pay date.

If you go onto my pay and change it, then it takes a week usually. I have seen it just take aa few days, but I recommend doing it about at least a week before the next pay date.

It's supposed to only take a week maybe 2. But remember it's the military, could take months, or the fun one, they just stop paying you all together. Talk to your rpac and ask them, make sure it's not some sweaty boot pfc who has no idea what he is doing.
