How long would it take for China to conquer Britain?

it matters not that your army is larger then ours or that nearly everyone does military training,your first problem would be sustaining a supply line over a vast area which would be vulnerable to attack all the way,your next problem would be the total lack of surprise which as any good commander knows is essential for any plan to succeed so all in all it would be more beneficial for china to stay at home and behave and there by avoiding a spanking,need i mention the nuke word or the fact that we are not alone,your takeaways are good by the way.

If it was a one to one battle, they would obliterate each other in a few hours. The problem China would have is we would be backed up by many other countries, including the most 'powerful' country in the world............. USA.

Well Britain and america are the only two countries on earth that have the fire power to actually destroy the entire planet (literally). So if SOME HOW china found enough canoes to get all their soldiers to britain and SOME HOW was able to muster up more then 5 rounds per soldier and SOME HOW actually won an air battle. they might just reach london in time to sea Mr. brown press the big red button.

Britain is our staunch, long-time ally, so the US would immediately go to their defense. Add to that all the other allies in the Western world, China would be back in the stone age.

China has outdated equipment, some of them actually dating back from as far as the 70s, they've got the biggest army in the world but they are poorly equipped. There's been so many attempts of people invading Britain in the past, but the country is still standing, and standing proud. For the time that Britain crumbles to one's feet will be by the time the apocalypse plagues us all. If China does attempt to invade Britain, they would be VERY stupid, China's loss would be too great, their casualties would be immense and half of the Earth would attack at Britain's command.

You couldn't in reality. If it was a one on one battle and we both new of eachother and neither had nuclear weapons etc. then you would destroy us or course. Only due to your size.

But, realistically, you would never get to Britain. Half of your country would rebel against the idea of going to war with us, so would Russia, as you would probably have support from them. In fact, half the Middle East would too, so you would be facing civil wars left, right and centre. Yes, our oil supply would probably be cut, but us and the US probably have enough nuclear weapons to take you out anyway. You wouldn't be able to surprise us, as we probably have spies in your country as it is and someone would see a huge line of Chinese soldiers crossing the Pacific or Asia.

We would also be able to attack you from the south with the Australian Army, from Asia with India, from the east with Canada and the US and west from us.

In fact, I doubt you would leave Asia successfully.

Size of army is not the only determining factor. Also if it was that easy wouldn't they have thought of invading. Just accept the fact that it's impossible.

Well if we did go to war with them for a start I would sent the RAF to blow up the three gorges dam in true dambusters style and that would automatically kill millions of chinese and badly cripple their country. And as I said thats just a start! We dont need nukes and that would destroy the world anyway.
And everyones forgetting why we won the battle of Britain, the British stiff upper lip. If we were like France we would be speaking German today. True Brits would rather die than surrender!

Conventionally, never. As other posts have said Britain is an island and any invasion force would be seriously compromised/destroyed before it set foot on dry land.

2nd The British Empire is the best and largest Empire the world has ever seen.
3rd we would have the EU and UN on our side.
4th we havent lost a battle since 1066

6th china has size but not quality of men or machines
7th the British Armed Forces (BA, RAF, RN) are the finest in the world

Probably a day or two. Having watched that "Chinese School" programme on TV the Chinese are structured, well organised and highly competitive and with basic military training for every citizen and the UK being so weak willed we couldn't defend the Isle of Wight from an invasion from France at the moment so China could just walk in! I'm talking hypothetically here - I know nuclear weapons would be used before any attempt at invasion so your question is rhetorical in nature!

U.S. (Us Americans) are way too strong for any threat by China. As far as conquering Great Britain.. Yea Great Britain would devastate China's numbers.. But like the invasion on Stalingrad, they can advance there soldiers until the enemy runs out of bullets and would still have many in reserve.. Also China has dramatically increased they're military.. But in any retrospect our American jets are 2x quicker than any other jets and we have more than 3x the air force and 10x the aircraft carriers .. America is known for our bombs... Have plenty of those.. Tanks, militia, artillery won't do much good against missiles. Britain 1v1 would lose, but take down much more than they lose. But with their allies the whole world couldn't topple Britain, US and NATO.. Take a look at military page with lists of all forces.. America is stronger than a lot think and were even known as bad asses enough as it is
