How many of you (men/women) are tired of ....?

I am sure that there are women out there that could handle the strains of the initial training for any of these communities. However, the fact is there are very few men that can and finally do make it in. The numbers for women are probably infinitely smaller. So why would we open up that logistical nightmare - you are talking about spending millions of dollars to update facilities, add on sleeping quarters, add female specialists to the medical staff, etc. That does not even address the issue of pregnancy. So why should we go through that for the tiny percentage of women who will actually make it in??? It would be a phenomonal waste of money, and resources. And why? Will it actually improve our military, better our chances in war if we did this. No, the only thing this would serve would be for some activists to get another notch in their belt.
Uzi - do you know how many guys I have seen that said the same thing - and then flunked out of BUD/S? The ratio is something like 12% of the men that start a class, finish with that class. Like I said, I am sure there are women out there who could do it - but who cares. The bottom line is we have to make decisions to win wars, not make sure some peoples feelings don't get hurt.

I am all for women's rights and such, but you are right women are programmed to be compassionate and emotional..it is just how we are...this is why I dont think there can ever be a women president...

If your'e tired of it maybe your'e on the wrong site. Women should have equal rights to fight in war. Iv'e had 2 kids with no pain killers at all and if I can pop out 2 nine pound kids from my ***** fully conscious I can by God fight in a war., Iv'e never heard of a man doing that.

I had the misfortune of being in a unit when they started bringing in women. At first I thought it would be OK, but soon after the non-sense started.

The most absurb was PT test and field exercises. I complained about the women not pulling their weight and the the company commander chewed me out. He said they are soldiers just like you so get out there and set up their latrine screen.

I'm sure there are women in good enough shape and tough enough to go into special forces. But if that was the case in general why do they have lower standards for PT test.

We've gone too far with this PC stuff. It's not jus the military but the police and fire departments as well.

Believe it or not... even in the military, none whites/women are not treated equaly. Most higher ups in the military are racist.
So this country is not "equal opportunity"

True, there are some roles which are easily filled by women equally well as by men. Killing is not one of them. History has proven that men are the more aggressive and kill without too much thought in re to it. However, I honestly believe that a woman would be a much better president for the simple fact that they ARE more compassionate and much less likely to be involve graft. It is an absolute certainty that they could not possible screw it up more than men---and I am a man. I love Oprah and I can think of no one on the planet I would rather see as president of the US than her. God, men have f---ed things up SOOOOOOOO bad. Taxes, pork barrel projects, graft, taking money under the tables. And, what is worse, they have gone out of their way to pass laws at the highest level and cloak themselves in the immunity of them. They are laws for men, by men and to men and they serve no other purpose than to hold down the rights of many minorities, one of which is women!

ok to chelsey b. i popped 3 kids out no pain meds or nothin in labor for a week with one of them and hell no i aint gonna say i can fight a war. maybe break a leg and not cry as much as i use to but fight a war hell no. i think it s the emotion issues. im sure u also cried tears of joy when you had your babies. that is emotion. guys tend to be able to handle it better. i know having a baby is tough and everything but that dont mean you can go fight a war. it means youre a nurturing person not a special forces elite.

thats all good and fine. But there are some who can tuff it. They have every right to ask, its gender biasing. How do you know they can't take it, just because you can't?
