I must admit that I was very surprised that the secret service allowed the reporter to fire off the second shoe. What I really wanted to see was some agent throw himself in the path of the oncoming shoe.

Now that would have been funny. Right up there with the secret service agent who jumped in the water to defend Jimmy Carter from the rabbit who was swimming and tried to climb into Carter's fishing boat.

Nope, not at all. And everyone who thinks he deserved it is thinking half way, because i was happy at first too (i was laughing.) . Even though i strongly dislike him and his politics to death, he is still OUR president. No dirty outsider throws a shoe at the president and gets a way with it. I'm glad the secret service got to the shoe throwing man. If anything an American should throw something at him.

I don't know how to quantify that. I would say about 60% of Americans openly wish he would have been hit.

Hitting Bush would have been irrelevant. Throwing the shoe and the global response of approval is sufficient. Injuring Bush would change nothing. The world's people need to revolt against the fascist policies of America's ruling elite. That takes time to develop, but it is developing.
