PS- Shadi is a liar on a grand scale. One million Iraqi's killed by the US? Were that true, those numbers would have resulted in worldwide outrage.
Most have been killed by their own in some archaic religious feud.

Not a question to ask without asking how many lives are also save. Think of the two world wars and countless things which could have happened for which we do not know. You can do what you believe is good for the present time and hope for the best. Unless you are Bush....Think about other things as well laws, gobal warming nuclear etc...

Probably the figure is similar to when the British, French, and Ottoman Empires were conquering and policing the world. Also, the figure is probably similar to the Crusades, the Roman Empire, the settlement of the US by Europeans, all the revolutions in Latin America, Communism in Europe and Asia.

I don't even think that the numbers are relevant. The violence and murders in most of the places we have gone were a daily part of life LONG before we got there, and you need to also understand that we have lost thousands as well. Being better trained and better equipped does not make us Imperialistic bullies. Many of the things we are accused of have been on ANOTHER COUNTRY'S BEHALF. I find it interesting no one has mentioned how many Nazi's we killed when most of them were brain washed and just serving on the wrong side. I also find it interesting that so many people are willing to scream about atrocities, but refuse to remember that freedom is not free at all, and it is soldiers, like myself that have to go out and do these things for a living so you can sit at home and have the right to scream about body counts.

We "murdered" in the revolutionary and civil wars, too, but those wars allow you to live the way you do and ask questions and make complaints that are protected under the constitution without fear of reprisal. Be careful what you say and wish for.

Well that answers the question. Well done. Too bad most Americans have no idea what the US does in the world. The above doesn't even mention Latin America, starting with Chile in 1973, Argentina 1976, El Salvador 1980-92, Nicaragua 1981-90, Grenada 1983, Panama 1988 and Guatemala 1993. Plus its covert operations in Bolivia, Columbia, Honduras and Venezuela. If there is a government the US doesn't like then the CIA goes in to over throw it.

And don't forget the 55 thousand PER YEAR that are killed by guns in the US each year so they can have the right to bear arms - USA is the biggest terrorist in the world and the most violent nation there ever has been in modern time (o/t Hitler/Pol Pot and Stalin - but they are trying to be number1!!) - and most americans are so stupid think their soldiers are hero's while they murder civilians all over the world.
