How many times can you do a lat move in the service?

If a service member is in one branch and doesn't like his MOS, he can change it, right? Say s/he changed it and then still didn't like it, but then determined it was the branch of service that s/he didn't like and switched branches. Could switching branches allow another lat move for whatever reason?

generally speaking once you have hit E5 or E6 changing jobs is almost impossible.

you cannot just change Job willy nilly.. you must complete your current enlistment contract first before REQUESTING to change. there are restrictions..such as you cannot transfer to an overmanned MOS. nor do they usually allow you to transfer out of an undermanned one.

as for switching Branches.. right now all Branches are ONLY taking people who are ALREADY qualified in undermanned jobs with no retraining required.

Possibly, but the thing is that the military generally likes to keep you in the MOS you are already in. Costs them less money this way. Sounds to me like you are just unsure what you want out of life. Give things a try before jumping ship just to try to jump MOS's.

Oh and we cannot just change MOS's any time we please. You have to wait for your contract to be up generally speaking.

It depends, I was trained in the USMC for a job separated for three months and joined the Army I would have to have been retrained for the same job at the exact same school, go figure, as for lat moving in general I think you can do it so long as you have sufficient time left on your contract and you meet teh requirements of the MOS.
