How much do i get a month in the Air Force?

Anyways I have 70 college credits which allows me to enlist as an E3. I checked the charts for the salary and it's 1649 as base pay.

do they include the money for rent, and food in the biweekly checks?

How much extra do they give you for food? and how does the rent thing work?

*HOUSING*
If you are single, you will live in a dorm room.

If you are married you can either live on or off base. If you live off base you will get a basic housing allowance which all depends on the cost of living around the base you are stationed at. (ex. in the Seattle area you will get around $1400 to pay for your rent/utilities ect)

*FOOD*
If you are single and living in the dorms, you will not receive any extra pay for food, however you will be able to eat at the chow hall 4 times a day (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner/Midnight Chow)

If you are married or do not live in the dorms, you will receive a food allowance which is usually around $200-$300 per month. If you eat at the chow hall you pay for it, but it is cheap as dirt (a good meal will run you about $4-$5)

*RENT*
Dorms= Rent Free
On Base Housing= Rent Free
Off Base= You pay with your Basic Allowance for Housing (as stated above)

It truly sounds like you have some questions that would be quickly answered by a recruiter. If I were you I would go to the nearest recruiting booth and talk with them.

As far as you are concerned if you are not married you will get your by-weekly pay check and while you are on active duty your meals are all paid for. This does not come out of your pay check.

Now if you are married your wife will get an allowance however you are responsible for feeding your family with the money she gets and that which you received.

They give you a rental house in "Base Housing" and theyre is a commentary store that is cheaper than other stores for food. Enlisted 3 is a good 1500-1700 depends on your stats
