Dear me patrick, you don't half ask some twaddle on here young man. What happened to the British Army being crap and that you were off to join our colonial cousins over the pond? Last time I checked Sandhurst and Welbeck were British establishments. Between that and joining the Irish defence force what exactly do you want to do?

Welbeck and Sandhurst are both subject to you being accepted, however once accepted they are free just like any other military training establishment.

http://www.welbeck.mod.uk/

http://www.sandhurst.mod.uk/

You attend Welbeck as a boarder in order to do your 'A' Levels which will be related to a career within the military or MoD, you will also be part of Welback's Combined Cadet Force.

All the facilities at Welbeck will be free for you to use and you will be given your own room and meals free of charge, as well as expenses for travel etc.

http://www.armyjobs.mod.uk/education/colleges/Pages/Welbeck-TheDefenceSixthFormCollege.aspx

After Welback you will be offered a Technical bursary to attend one of the MoD approved Universities where you will carry on your study in a related subject to the military career you wish to embark upon.

The brightest students can receive bursaries to Oxford and Cambridge, whilat other Universities include Newcastle, Southampton, Aston, Northumbria or Loughborough University. Whilst at University you will be expected to make a commitment to the University Officer Training Corps (UOTC)

Different Technical and other Bursary Rates and Options, as well as other available payments in respect of Engineers, Medical Professionals etc are set out here on the Royal Navy Website.

On completion of your degree you will normally move on to Initial Officer Training at Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst or the RAF College Cranwell.

When this phase is complete, you will be commissioned into one of the technical branches of the Services as an officer in accordance with single-Service regulations.

Candidates may also apply for a technical career within the Ministry of Defence (Civil Service)

This is like asking "how much does it cost to do Army Officer Basic training"!
If you want to be an infantryman you do't go to either.

They are both training establishments only open to members of the Armed forces.
Police training schools are only open to Police officers.
Air force flying schools are only for members of the Air Force selected to be Pilots....
you get the idea?

Have a think about what you are doing first? as it has already been pointed out to you, there is no point and no way they'd let you you do either if your planning to become an enlisted man! Sandhurst isn't a military school, it where we train our officers. It is subject to you fitting the criteria, educationally, mentally and physically. After a year there you commission as an officer.
Have a good think about what your asking coz at present your just opening your mouth and letting your belly rumble by asking nonsensical questions!

You wont go to Sandhurst if you wnt to be an infantryman, Sandhurst is for officers of all cap badges.
If you want to be an infantryman the likelyhood is that you will got to ITC Catterick Garrison

Welbeck is a college were people who are intrested in joining the armed forces sometimes go. Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is where officers go to do their 44 week training to become an officer in the british Army.

Well, not to dis the Army, but you really don't need to go to a military school if you're enlisting as an infantryman in the Army. They don't even require High School Diplomas, I think you're good for now.

Nevermind you're talking about the Royal Army
