How much money will my husbands pay be in the army as an E1?

My husband just joined the army and I was wondering how much his pay would be considering he has one dependent now, so it won't be as little as a single E1. Basically I won't to know how much I should expect his checks to be. Thanks! :)

The Army has a contingency pay scale for E-1 during the first 4 months of service. After that it will increase slightly.

2009 Base pay:
E-1 less then 4 months: $1294.50
E-1 more then 4 months: $1399.50

Remember, that is just base pay and before taxes. While he is at Basic training and AIT he should get BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) based on YOUR zipcode (usually his home of record). After his training is over the Army will move you and both of your household goods to his new duty location - unless he is assigned to an unaccompanied tour. After training he should also start getting BAS (Basic Allowance for Subsistence) too. That is: $323.87 /mo.

Remember: It is always good to ask questions because the Army will assume you already know these kind of things.
