How nervous were you on your first deployment to Iraq? Marines only please?

Zia, if your are that delusional to think us Americans arent a strong fighting force, then how about you join our enemies military and we will see you in combat. Afghans are really fierce and not many can fight against them, BUT America has special forces larger and more advanced than any other and they can take Afghans any day of the week.

And to answer your question Iraq isnt the place to get nervous, even if your infantry. The biggest thing going on there is boredom. Now if you do go to Afghanistan then its alright to feel nervous cause thats a scary/evil place. Im sure youll be alright.

happy that i didnt have to deal with bullcrap with deal in the fleet...,all the way over there seems like a dream or something cause timezones unloading and loading (i was a PFC back then so working parties..) ,i was pump before getting there but once i got there i was extremely tired plus the sandstorms and having not taking a shower in couple days didnt help..either..

i still like deployments more than staying in the fleet lol..

thats the wrong way to look at things im here right now it isnt like that and all military forces work together here rangers airborn mitt teams special forces army reserves coilition forces it isnt just the marines out there by themselves taking on the world silly it is scary sometimes getting mortared seeing bad things happen to people you know getting blown up and living through it or knowing someone it happend to its crazy but if you are into killing or whatever your thing is go to afganistan thats where youll want to be then . bring baby wipes bug spray a unlocked global cell phone spf 50 keep your powder dry and your head up and hope and pray you are the best of the best to get out of there alive it is no joke .good luck!

Zia, you are dead-@ss wrong! American troops have the most advanced weapons systems and the best trained soldiers, otherwise they would not survive. American soldiers are trained to kill and are best at it son.

Yes, we are losing the war and we are fighting for nothing. We were suppose to declare war on Afghanistan. How the hell did our troops end up fighting in Iraq? Just for oil!
I agree with the fact that we are losing and our dumb president doesn't know what to do about it. He's just following his advisers. You can't stop terrorism. Our troops are very strong and the best to kill. We have the worlds best snipers and combat engineers plus the top notch forces such as SEALS, Special OPs, and the berets. So rethink your next answer. Marines can kill with weaponry, or hand to hand combat.
