Many many years ago I had a scout leader who was a police man, he was shot in the groin by the IRA.
he described it has feeling like getting kicked really hard - nothing worse.
Im sure this is due to the bodys protection and shock mechanisms.
im sure it's not plesant though |

Since you put this under Military, I presume you mean with a bullet.
I have heard the stomach is the worst pain.
Old time revenge killings by Arabs was with a knife. Into the stomach and the blade turned in a circle. No one survived.
If you are referring to medical, those damn square needles in the nut. WW II Military physicals. |

It felt like someone had punched me in the upper right chest hard enough to knock me down. I could not figure out what had happened to me till people started telling me not to get up. Another medic got to me and gave me MS, after that everything got very warm and unreal. Later on while it was healing up it hurt some. But never like major pain. They gave me drugs fairly steady through the first part of healing up. |

My brother, shot 3 times in Nam said he didn't feel anything except that he was down and didn't know why. It hurt a lot as the shock wore off. |

I can't believe how stupid people are. Yor in the military bit asking about getting shot and they think yor talking about having an injection! hello ? wake up u thickoes!
As for yor question I wouldn't like to find out I should imagine it's more painful a few hours after than straight away unless it kills you then it wouldn't hurt at all! |

A .22 shot to the leg feels like you have been hit very hard with a stick or cane, but little initial actual pain.
A few seconds later the pain reflex kicks in, about the same time the blood starts to leak out.
It feels like a red hot iron bar being twisted in the wound.
The adrenaline factor is only really apparrent if you are somewhat involved at the time of the incident, but is doesn't last for long. |

I never was shot ... but I would imagine that it would all depend WHERE and with WHAT?
If you get a major blow to a life sustaining organ, like to the heart with a hollow tip .45 -- it wouldn't hurt at all.
If your body looses a lot of blood quickly, you don't die from the gun shot wound, you would die from bleeding out -- if someone doesn't stop the bleeding for you.
Your body, with massive blood loss will begin to shut down. You will feel sleepy, and pain free for the most part.
If you get a BB gun pellet in your forearm it might even be more painful to you because you're NOT losing consciousness and can feel every little muscle pull and nerve fiber. |

At first you won't feel anything but the impact. Feels like someone is pushing you. Takes a few seconds before you start to feel the pain but once you do, it hurts like hell. The lead is really hot and you can feel it if it's still inside you. Blood doesn't come right out like in the movies, takes a couple seconds but once it does it just gushes out. |

I've spoken with a few people who have been shot, and it seems to vary depending on the location of the wound, their individual pain tolerance, and what they were doing at the time.
My guess is that it probably hurt like heck. |
