Most of the previous answers are bogus. If you are pregnant, you're not authorized to do any physical fitness tests in the military and you're also exempt from the weight and height test. You cannot deploy while pregnant. If you're really in the military, you can go to JAG and get free legal advice on how to collect from the fathers. As far as getting out of the military, you can ask for a hardship discharge. Only your commander can start the paperwork so go to your First Sergeant or Leading Petty Officer and ask for a face to face counseling session with your Commanding Officer. |

They wont deploy you if you are pregnant. Too high risk.
And that is a great place for you to be for medical and employment that will be really tough out here. |

Why do you keep getting knocked up? Who will pay your medical bills if you get out of the service. At least this way you are working and have benefits. Who will hire you in your condition? Pregnancy is a condition not a handicap. Finish your commitment.

Sounds like your problem has more to do with getting pregnant from multiple men than the military. I think the military might do you some good. |

Talk to your First Sgt(unk Navy Equivalent) and tell him what you just said. You can have a General Discharge right away and the VA will upgrade it to HONORABLE probably after the expiration of your term of service.
Also get a lawyer and get Child support from these pigs. I get sick and tired of supporting women that won't keep their legs crossed. There is such a thing as birth control you know? And it is free from the base Hospital!!!!!!

I think you need to get help from someone on your base. Seek out a chaplain and if he can't help you, perhaps he can point you to the office that can. That's about all the help I can give you right now. Hope things work out for you. |

This is a joke, right??? The military does not deploy pregnant women, and if you do not have a Family Care Plan (and someone responsible to watch your children while you are deployed) you will either not be deployed or counseled to get your childcare act together so that you can deploy (I don't mean that harshly, I simply mean that is how the military will think of it). |

Get out on the family seperation chapter. Tell them you no longer have a family care plan. |

You need to talk to a Army Chaplin. If you are not married, you will be able to get out under not having family care plan.

A single mother with one under two and another on the way. I don't want to judge you but you have some problems. It is difficult for many women to get child support from one guy, what makes you think you will be able to collect from two.
Ok, now to your other problem. Since you are expecting another child, there should be no reason to fear an immediate deployment. However, once the maternity leave is over, you will have to return to work. You should be familar with the paperwork for your child care for if and when you have to deploy. I think you have to look deeper and do some soul searching before you try and get out. There are women in the military in the same situation as you and they have managed to handle their lives. How are you going to provide for these kids when you get out? Do you know the cost of child care, health care, food, insurance and so forth. You really need to sit down and figure out the good and bad. A deployment does not last forever but a ruined life will follow you and the children. How about one of the fathers taking responsibility and caring for the children while you are gone? Then again, that is not going to happen or you would be married. You don't need to get out, you need help. Then again, if you are in this kind of situation and asking for assistance on the internet, what kind of future leader and role model will you be for your troops? I highly suggest you seek the guidance of clergy and a professional couselor. Your NCOIC should be able to provide the direction you need to find this help. |

Looks to me like someone is asking not about getting deployed, but rather what to do to KEEP from getting deployed. Most all single mothers know about child support......and you don't hmmmm. Possibly could the 19_86 be your birth year and you are asking for someone else. There is NO WAY a service member would have to ask about a situation like this. |

I believe if you are the soldier and you are pregnant, you can opt out for a chapter. I don't remember which one it is. Talk to your personnel shop at your unit, (PAC, S1, personnel). This chapter I believe falls under the same one as Failure to Adapt. Its the same chapter as if you won the lottery and became a millionaire. Basically, there was a drastic change in your life where you cannot serve. Pregnancy can count as that. But like I said at the begining, talk to your personnel office. |

You can always request a Chapter out under Family Care, I know as a single parent you MUST have a FCP as dual Military parents do. If this is what you want to get out the Army then I would start there... as a mother of 3 I want to let you know you can raise your children alone, as it may not be what you planned or wanted but the reality is here. I will be honest by saying I am sure alot of Soldiers dont want to be deployed but the reality is that is our job we do what we are ordered to do, I have not been Deployed as of yet but I know its coming, my husband has been deployed more than twice we got through it , as would you.. even though you can not be deployed while pregnant and it is up to your Commander on when he/she would even send you once you gave birth.
I think your freaking out about the wrong thing right now.. I suggest talking to your Chaplin, your family and doing what is best for you and your children.
God Bless you and Happy New Year!!

Simple
Family Care Plan.
Say whoever was going to watch the kids if you got deployed won't do it anymore and you have no one else you can go to.
But I don't advocate lying to anyone, that would be an integrity violation. |

I would think if you were having a baby that you could get out on a medical leave. If you have a medical condition that might give you cause to be able to get out.If you are a single Mom you should talk to someone because it would cause hardship on your family.Call legal aid they might know. |

Two words" "Planned Pregnancy." Whatever happened to it? I don't know if there would be many children left in the world, if you couldn't have them by "accident"(modern term for irresponsible).
You know they will not deploy you while pregnant, nor will they "lose" your babies (only you can do that). If their fathers will not help, then who provides better health care benefits than the Army, your parents? Because I am not so sure even Burger King will hire ya. Pregnant with a dishonorable discharge does not look good on a resume.
It is an honor to serve in the United States Army, but it is dishonorable to live up to everything but your commitment to do so. The Army is no place for people who start something but never finish it, or people that cannot make a commitment to anyone but themselves.....and let's face it, who was you committed to on that night 5 months ago? Your other child, the Army, or yourself? OK then, that is still who you are committed to, and that is who you need to work on. The Army is no place for the "me" generation, sorry you had to learn the hard way. Hope ya had fun though. |

First off, I thought the military wouldn't send you if you didn't have anyone else to take care of your children. Second, you could gain a ton of weight.....you could talk to your 1st sgt about your options for an honorable discharge. |

You should be given the option to get out if your pregnant, I had a friend in the Air Force who did that. You could always do what I did and want to kill yourself. But I was truthful about it and really did want to hurt myself just to get out. You sound like you could use your children to help you get out and use depression over them maybe being lost to you if you get deployed. |

Clearly you are falsely representing either your case or your identity. The military still offers you the door when you get pregnant. It's no secret. Everyone knows it. And as pointed out, pregnant women are not deployed, so save that B.S. story for someone else. Also, if either of the fathers are military, they will automatically dock his check (with or without his permission)if you can prove they are the biological father(s) of your child or children. So basically my conclusion is you are lying about some or all of it. |

Contact your elected official but go through the chain of command.
This is from a US President almost 200 years ago.
Unless you become more watchful in your States and check this spirit of monopoly and thirst for exclusive privileges, you will in the end find that the most important powers of Government have been given or bartered away, and the control of your dearest interests have been passed into the hands of these corporations.
