Look, you signed a contract. Your better off committing to it, finishing it & get an Honorable Discharge. No matter what anyone tells you on here, you will NOT get an Honorable Discharge unless you FINISH YOUR CONTRACT. You will be proud of yourself in the end & hold that dignity that you finished & accomplished your Active Duty. Next time your not sure of something, don't sign your name anywhere. Think 10 times before making serious decisions, get good advice from others & weigh out the pro's & con's. When you make mistakes like this one, it's not a good idea to try & find a way out of it, instead be mature & deal with it.

you should have never joined. i want to join but i am having trouble because of a minor drug charge almost seven years ago. if you cant handle it QUIT and give some real men that want to be there a chance.

Some days can be bad but just play the game. get all the life skills you can and leave the best person you can be when the time is up. Good luck. My son is a Marine. My dad and I were in the Air Force. Feel free to write if you want to talk about it.

are you injured or just want out?

That makes a HUGE differnce.

If you're injurded, you can be honerably discharged.
If you just want out, good luck, you signed a contract.

I just went through this very same thing. I did't agree with the politics that are in it. I just told them i wanted out and if they did't let me i would sniper check anyone i was in the feild with. I was discharged honorable. IF YOU ARE IN THE SERVICE YOU KNOW WHAT SNIPER CHECKING IS EVERYBODY USALLY JOKES ABOUT IT SO WHEN YOU TELL THEM BE VERY SERIOUS. YOU CAN ALSO SAY YOU ARE GAY AND ARE GOING TO MOVE OFF POST WITH YOUR LOVER, THAT WORKS TOO.

Shoot yourself in the grape. The Marine Corps doesn't need you. If you got to Iraq, I'm sure Taliban Tim or Joe Giant Raghead well take care of you. Being a frickin quitter will either get yourself killed or the buddy next to you. Quit being a buddy f*cker and fulfill your contract.
