Boy i feel for you! im so sorry that happened, same thing happened to me i almost committed suicide please dont let it get to that point, when you lose somebody that is that dear to you you lose hope of people etc, see a psychiatrist your dads a hero and you should be proud of him! Oorah! your fathers looking down on you and is proud of you, so don't lose hope. |

the best thing to do in my opinion find God...go to church, keep your mind in the right direction. think of it this way, he gave his life to protect yours, his job is done and the Lord took him home. everything happens for a reason, and this is your time to grow up and become the man he dreamed for you to be. Pray all the time, the best thing anyone can do is pray. im sorry to hear about your loss. |

I lost my dad when I was 19. He died from an illness, but it still hurt. When someone dies who is close to you, it takes time.
I used to write my dad letters. Even though he was dead, I wanted to tell him things that I couldn't when he was alive. I would put the letter in my Bible and pray to God to deliver it to him...its been over 20 years now and I've still kept one of the letters. I don't read it, but I kept it.
I am sorry there is no easy answer. You will have to find it inside you and one day the pain won't feel so bad. Try to remember him in life and that he died doing what he loved to do. I am sure he was proud to be a Marine...God has a special place for heros. Your dad is with Him and safe. |
