We would have them back already, and the Great would still be in Britain, and it would all have happened in the space of 3 cigars

Winston Churchill was a seriously respected man... one of the last great statesmen... we don't have men like him anymore, men, the whole world never take for granted... never play games with.

He would have used his wits and brain and oral skills to make them quake inside their shoes... he would have resolved the issue without bloodshed... and still have stayed a giant!

One who remembers him well... and knows... but for him... Hitler would have made it to our shores and we, would not have the problems that we have today... because we wouldn't be alive... we would not be free to speak the way we do inside this site!

Iran wouldn't have taken them, it was a different world. Britain had respect for other countries, even though they thought they we're better than them, there was respect.
Nowadays everyone throws all their cards on the table at the start leaving nothing to play with after.

The problem we have today is no respect for our so called Prime Minister and all the goverment NO RESPECT! Bed hopping, back handers in money laudry ect.
Winston Churchill was a man you could look up to and respect my grandparents thought highly of him and said he was the best Minister we have had when they were alive.
Gone are the days of authority figures to respect the police, the army the goverment and that is our problem NO RESPECT out of control and everyone wonders why!
It would not have happenend in the first place and if it did they would be home now and none of this back stabbing, who's fault is it and parading it on nation television which is what they want it would have been done dusted and all we would have ever known is they had captured now safe period!

Although Churchill was 25% American and had great admiration for the US, unlike the traitor Blair, I cannot believe that he would have entered this illegal and unjust war so the situation would never have arisen.

If you read his memoirs his solution was to gas everyone in the region. History has painted a VERY different picture of Churchill from the real one. He was all for extermination and was considered a war-monger by many of his contemporaries. they threw him out of the foreign office when he was younger.
