i am having knee surgery may 27th and my husband is in the navy and they will only let him off the day of the surgery (its major surgery too)
for one i will prolly be in the hospital for more than just that one day, two i have a 4 month old baby that i need him to take care of... and its not like any of my family can just drop everything they are doing and come down and help
is there anything we can do to maybe get him a week or so off

he cant take leave right now because the is TAD to cargo right now

Did he ask for the day off, or submit a leave chit?
He can take leave while TAD, they are not going to give him "free" time off, have him write up a leave chit and route it.
Then NO, there is not anything that can be done, still suggest he write up a chit and route it, it will be at his commands discretion. |

sorry but if you dont expect your family to drop everything to help you, you think the military is gonna drop everything to help you. he signed those papers which ment military first family second. you stated all the reasons why he cant take leave so you obviously know theres no way around this...are you coming hear asking for a babysitter??? you already know he cant stay. |

no. you will have to find someone else to help out. your issues are not the Navy's concern. if they will not let him take Leave or request Special LIb, then you are on your own.
they are not obligatred to let him take time off for anything. |
