Hubby Re-Classing, Granted TDY en route, What happens now?

Ok, Hubby was approved his Mandatory re-classification. Hes scheduled to leave for his school (ait) in a few weeks. He is scheduled to clear Ft. Lewis in a few weeks prior to leaving for school. His orders say TDY en route. He was told he will not be returning here for his permanent duty station. And we live off post. So here are my Questions.
1.) Since its TDY en route and hes clearing out of Ft. Lewis Do we still get Bah, and if so is it at the rate of Ft. Lewis bah or our home of record?
2.) What happens to our stuff, What I mean is, if I chose to go home while hes in school since its not 6 months long, so I cant go with him, and I go home for a while, can I put our stuff in storage here pay for it out of pocket and go home, and collect bah?
3.) Do they ship our stuff to where he is going to school or will they come back here to Ft. Lewis and ship it when he pcs to his new duty staion.
Iam so confused, only have a few weeks to plan on what we are going to do since we ave children, nd we have not been told where his new duty station will be, and I dont want to stay here by myself I would rather go home for a few months. Anyone who knows any information or has been through this please help with advice, suggestions. Thank You so much.

Okay this is what happened with us maybe it will give you a little insight. Hubby was PCSing to Hawaii from North Carolina, took leave enroute in conjuction with SERE school. (pretty similar to what you're describing) So we packed up and left North Carolina, we drove back home and then he flew out to SERE school. We received BAH for North Carolina during this time. We sent our stuff out to Hawaii and it went into storage - if his school is 3 months or longer this may be a problem as the government won't pay to store your things indefinitely. But you should be able to put things in storage and collect BAH until your ready to move, you would just have to go back to that location to do so. They should just ship it to his new duty station - they may do a small shipment for him to his school.
