Well, since all muslims or arabs or lebanese are considered terrorist (just to keep world simple for our first time voters), they must be thinking that the best way to fight terrorism, is to kill them by their roots.. the children!
Of course it is disgusting.. if this isn't proof how biased and two faced and unconditional western governments are, I don't know what is. Over 800 civilians killed.. women, children, many in their sleep.
Any regrets, any apologies? no.. Israel simply states they won't quit util they achieve their goals.. (so basically they'll have to kill all lebanese, because if there is 1 left, I'm sure they'll join Hezbollah.. what other option is their to stand up against this current right wing fundamentalist isralian government?)
Terrorism is not about suicide bombs.. it's worse when it can be done with a press of a button in the comfort of your chair.. of an apache, with sattelite images and laser guided missles, which are so accurate that you have no excuse for why you hit such civilian targets except by intention, or indifference.
And Israelians marginalizing Human Rights Watch reports, are the same ones who marginalize the United Nations and marginalize the criminal court (for war crimes) in The Hague, Netherlands.. and so basically don't only think they can play by their own rules in the middle east, but in the entire world.
And guess who ensures that Israel can get away with all this.. and guess who gives Israel the excuse to fight 'preemptive strikes' and kill anybody they want and simply call them terrorists, with no legal investigation (since Israel disqualifies all international organizations that would, UN, The Hague, HRW, etc.) ... yeah.. USA.
Why the world is not fond of you, you ask?
Why negotiations don't work, you ask?
Why there is terrorism, you ask?
Why has it only been getting worse since war was declared on it you ask?
a hand full of people do something and world economy suffers for years and Iraq is turned into a pile of blood, 2 millitary get kidnapped and a few days later 800 civilians have been killed.
Are we dealing with people who use their force to extinguish fires, or create them?
In response to some here, there is no indication that Hezbollah uses civilians as human shields.. and even if they were, doesn't mean you can still shoot the hostages and then blame those who took them hostage.. or what? |

It is sad but I agree with rustyshackle. If Hezbollah cared at all they would have safely evacuated the civilians.
The war can end NOW if Hezbollah pulls its rocket launchers back and returns the kidnapped soldiers.
Why won't they??? |

I feel horrified.
Israel has to swallow its pride, evacuate it's people from the range of the rockets being fired at them, and wait for a UN peace keeping force to arrive and form a DMZ (demilitarized zone) at the border (Korea style). |

I hear where you are coming from, but you really need to listen to the news. Hezbollah started it by kidnapping two Israeli soulders and it was Hezbollah that fiered the first shot. Yes it has now gone a bit over board and too many peopl, not just children are being killed. |

As the average family here has 2 children, if any bombing destroyed the houses the average number of children killed would be 25% of the causalities, therefore as households are larger in Lebanon the 45% number would be about right. Since when did this bother the Israeli terrorists anyway? |

Have you not noticed all the dead women and children? WHY NO MEN? that is because they are using the women and children as human shields (AGAIN!!!!!) |

yes, stop the war on kids |

Nobody celebrates the deaths of these children except Hezbollah. It's their goal because they know they can't win militarily, so they must win in the court of public opinion. The more kids die, the happier Hezbollah is. |

facts:
Israel didn't start the war. Why don't you get Hezbollah to stop sending rockets to Israel's residential areas?
That Human Rights report is biased. How come there is no mention of Hezbollah's rockets?
Almost every report of deaths in Lebanon have been exaggerated as the numbers reported a few days later is often smaller that the initial forecast.
The Israelis give a warning before they attack; Hezbollah have not done so at all. |

It can never be acceptable for either side in a conflict to bomb, kill and maim. What did these youngsters do to deserve it? God alone knows if there can be an answer to that......
During the first few days of bombings a young Lebanese girl on her way to meet a doctor from India, who was going to correct her newly re-opened cleft pallette, was killed in the car she was traveling in. The same bomb blitz destroyed her family house some miles away.
Were her family involved in the conflict? No, not then. But you can bet anything you like that they are now!
She could have been any child, caught up in conflict anywhere in the world....But she wasn't. She was the niece of someone I know and respect; so I mourn her more than children I don't know.
Her story could be that of any of us, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We cannot bring any of the children back; but neither can we be silenced if we choose not to be. Let your voices roar over the sound of bombs so that soon enough they will cease. |

It would not surprise me. That is the evil of war; the innocent casualties.
However, there were some Homas and Hezbola in Iraq while I was there. There were many casualies and killing of innocent children, by the car bombs and rocket attacks, |

a few months ago Israel bombed a beach in Palestinian and killed civilians. They bombed the civilians while they making picnic with their families.do you believe that the kids there terrorists ? of course i don't support Hezbollah, but i just can't understand why people say nothin' when kids, babies die in Lebanon. I think it's one of the biggest shames of human race... |

I think it is sad that Hezbollah and Lebanese people are not moving the children out of harm's way, simply for propaganda purposes.
It's too bad you, the human rights groups or the media do not seem to care about the people that the terrorists kill in Israel.
Keep going, Israel, until every last pig-spawned Hezbollah scum is dead. |

I think Lebanon should stop being cowardly & hiding behind children. That country is not 45% children anymore than the USA is. That means they are either LIARS or COWARDS hiding behind women & children. Neither are good traits. |

During the Iran/Iraq war the Iranian fanatics had Children Martyr Brigades that marched through minefields to detonate the mines. Obviously the same kind of thinking has been used to say that it is noble and right for Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists to hide behind woman and children in Gaza and Lebanon. |

each day i read the news and am disgusted with what is happening if only there were a way to get through to these people and make them stop what they are doing its all getting out of control what a lovely world we live in eh? |

Hezbollah are firing missiles from behind buildings that contain civilian women and children in order to get sympathy from the world press after Israel fires back. Try to be more informed before making this kind of statement. Golda Myer once said "we can forgive you for killing our children, but we cannot forgive you for making us kill your children"
P.S. Hezbollah are detaining these people- they are not free to leave. |

I think it's very disturbing that Lebanon is more concerned with their support of terrorist then they are protecting their children. They had better start listening, because it's only going to get worse. |

This is what Israel usually do..Just look how many Palestinian children are killed every year in the occupied territories...So it wouldn't surprise me if the number of the children killed in Lebanon would be higher... |

I think that Israel views that as a failure.
Hezbollah think that dead Israeli children is a success.
Shows how the different sides view the value of life.
Why does Hezbollah hide behind these children anyway? |
