i doubt very seriously that many if any at all fall under abuse or war crimes. just because you or someone else wants that to be the case it does not make it so. i doubt you even know what a war crime would be or abuse for that matter.

Not many. There have been hundreds of thousands over there. So by your numbers, approximately 1 out of a 1,000 is bad... Sounds pretty good to me. Better than the general population of the U.S.

We have quite of few bad apples actually. It's from careless recruiters, but anyways we do have rules that if we see a wounded enemy, we can still shoot them unless we walk past them, then we'd have to treat them. Some of you people must think war is like the olympics or something. There is no excuse for the animal cruelty that has been going on although I believe you people do over react to it.

Technically there are only a few who hit around for anger other wise its misinterpretation of the solider doing his job that democrats are trying to ban him from doing. and the don't ask don't tell is for homos not cover ups

are you talking about those videos of soldiers teaching children to say "f*ck iraq"? or the one with a soldiers in a truck taunting kids with candy (or was it water?).

Are these acts that are frowned upon? -yes

Are they war crimes? - by far NO.

probably a lot of them. please realize though that the majority of those kids over there are really screwed up in the head by this war. no matter what your politics may be, understand that they need help. blaming one party or another will not get them the help they need.

I am a liberal dem and against this war. I am also the child, niece, and godmother, of veterans. These wonderful men (and women) did not go over there so screwed up. they deserve treatment and medical/mental health support when they get back. Do not let what happened to our vietnam veterans, happen to these vets. Name calling and finger pointing will not house, clothe, feed, or treat any of these kids when they get back. It will not save their own families from heartbreak or abuse.

instead of counting "bad apples" try writing letters to your congresspersons and senators and to anyone else you can think of for veterans affairs reform, so that these veterans will not end up like so many of the "bad apples" that came home from vietnam

In my view, more than half the Military are bad apples, that kept rolling from the tree.
