Husbands wants to join air force?

my husband is in college for computers and is thinking about joining the air force. he will be graduating in october, and wants to be sent off right after.
this seems to be something he really wants to do, but we have a child and a life where we are right now.
so what will happen if he joins? do i have to go with him? does he have a choice where he will be going? what will happen if he goes and lives on base and me and our child stay where we are at?
I support him 100% and want him to better his life and all that, but I dont want to leave my family and take the baby away from everyone. I am really close to my family and would hate to leave them all.

So... you want him to go on active duty and you are okay with him leaving and you just want to stay behind with your family. Isn't the point of marriage starting your OWN family and dedicating yourself with that?

No worries, once he is assigned to a military installation there are TONS of divorce lawyers. They will knock that out for you real fast.

You are about to embark on an adventure that will be challenging and fulfilling. If he plans to go active duty he'll be stationed anywhere the Air Force needs him. You don't "have to" go with him but you are his wife so you should if you can. You will find you have gained a new family, the Air Force family. There is a support network already in place to help you transition from civilian life to the military lifestyle. It will be stressful at first but you will survive and thrive.
