I'm going to Mepps in a week, what can I do to pass the drug test??

First off, you need to tell your recruiter what you did. He or She is putting a lot of valuable time into doing your paperwork in preparation for your trip to MEPS. I would say that you have a 99% chance of failing the drug test at MEPS. Depending on what branch of service you are processing for you may or may not be able to go back down if fail your urinalysis. I know that for the Navy and Air Force if you fail the drug test at MEPS you will be PERMANENTLY disqualified for these two services. The Marines and Army will make you wait a specific amount of time before you can process again.

Tell your recruiter now, before they schedule your hotel room and physical. They will be a lot less pissed if you tell them now than if they get the results back and have to DEP discharge you. Most of the time the recruiters have drug tests in the office that they can give you. These are informal tests that will tell the recruiter if you can pass the MEPS urinalysis. At my recruiting district they were supplied to us by the Navy and were mandatory for each applicant to pass one before they went to MEPS.

Don't try any crazy potions, herbals, or anything else "guaranteed" to make you pass, because none of them work, trust me. Drink lots (and I mean lots) of water and PT everyday to help your body get rid of those THC metabolites. Have your recruiter test you weekly and when you're ready they will take you to MEPS.

You are screwed. If you were serious about joining the military and wanted to serve your country and better yourself, you wouldn't have smoked in the first place. I hope they kick you out.

THC can stay in your system up to two months and since you're going to be escorted and have a witness to your urine test. You have two choices at this time to either withdraw your candidacy or make an appointment and speak to your recruiter and be honest about what they are going to find and how much. In the military all personnel are subject to unannounced drug testing on a regular basis so this isn't a one time thing it's a constant.

If your asking now you have no hope. It will take the TLC about a month to metabolism out of your system no matter how fast it is.

well that is your problem...you knew you were going into the military and you went and smoked anyway....that means that when you get done with your basic and AIT do you plan on smoking again...if you are don't even bother coming in.....we don't want you in...

man you're dumb. you can't cheat them, they watch you like a hawk. better call ur recruiter and reschedule. you know you won't fail right away...you'll probably actually ship out and then get pulled 1/2 way thru boot camp and sent home. lol. I seen it happen. I was lmao

Maybe the military isn't for you......you get tested periodically on active duty also, usually without notice.

Okay first thing is first, if you were serious about your future you would have not have smoked weed in the first place. If you just smoked in have the piss test in one week bottom line you will not pass. The MEPS tests on zero nanogram tollerence, so basically if there is even the slightested amount of thc in your system you up shi^ creek with out a paddle! If you are this dumb to smoke a week prior to going to MEPS, we don't need ya.

Reschedule out to 60 days from the day you smoked. I say 60 so your body has plenty of time to clean itself out.

And some advice. Stop being stupid, because stupid is going to get you or your squad killed.

I'm not going to repeat what other people have said from this discussion, but you will more likely than not fail the drug test if it's going to be given only a week from today. Take this from someone who knows about military drug test, and has even had to administer them.

The test that you takes at MEPS, is probably the most accurate one you will have to do during your time in service. Over the course of your service, you could even get lucky when they go to test your unit, because sometimes they don't test everyone's sample.

If you are very skinny and have a fast metabolism, there is a microscopic chance that you may be able to pass the test. Since the components of the drug are stored in your fat, you would need to workout and burn more fat than you have probably ever done during your lifetime. You would need to drink lots of water and workout a lot, don't bother with the unconventional formulas at GNC or online, because they don't work.

If you could, you should delay your deployment by any means possible. Being discharged before ever getting to basic training would place a really bad mark in your career, and may present problems with employment later down the road. Although what you have done is dishonorable and stupid, I have met many people in the service who had made some really poor choices prior to their service. The important thing is, that if you manage to pass your test, you never willingly take your luck for granted again.
