Thanks Mr. Curt, Sir. Well the meaning on the art is my folks initials. Also, if I can add, not to come off the wrong way, but if one is in DEP, one isn't obligated to NOT get tattoo's, but I can be wrong.

The answer to your question depends upon what the tat is and where on your forearm it's located.
If you got something like a swastika, or it extends below the wrist it could be disqualifying. Above the wrist and not gang or militia related, you should only have to explain its meaning to MEPS and the USMC.
Best bet, is to show the tat to your Recruiter, he will have the most current information about what is and isn't acceptable. |

They are supposed to be coverable by PT gear. Especially if you have any hope of ever becoming an officer. Hence why it is one of the first questions they ask you. |
