hello, im wanting to join the navy. recently i went clubbing with some friends and they offered me some cocaine, i would normally decline this but this time i didn't. would this effect my entry into the navy. If so how long do i have to wait till i can apply. this is the only thing that's holding me back from joining.

To be safe, wait about 45 days to ensure that everything is out of your system. Remember, the Navy has a zero tolerance policy. I have seen people get busted for using in the miltary= bad conduct discharge, lose of G.I. Bill, and the respect of your shipmates. There is a reason they are called illegal drugs. |

your recruiter won't send you up to MEPS to join until you are clean. the first time you do coke it stays in your system 3 days, but then as you do it more it stays in your system longer. answer no to drug use on the questionaires no matter what. but you can be honest with your recruiter. all that is confidential. but yeah if they find out, you are done. maybe the army will take you lol. |
