Though I am an Atheist I don't believe that Religion is the real problem. Its the misinterpretation and its applications of these misinterpretations that have caused all the problems. In the sense that this has been done for personal gain I do agree with you. |

Agree .. during my 18 year service I've been several conflict areas and war zones. I saw many terrible things with my own eyes and reason was ( mostly ) religion and/or hate. Yes .. unfortunately religion one of the biggest mass destruction weapon we ever known. So sad, but truth. |

You are wrong but also right. Unity can come from a good religion, imagine Islam without this stupid fanaticism and 11th century thinking how peaceful and prosperous they would be and indeed us! The greatest weapon of mass destruction is not religion (close but not quite) it is ideology. Communism is an ideology not a religion and Russia is a nation militarily equal to the US even today. |
