can i join the US army if i have a complete hearing loss in a ear my hearing in the one i can hear out of doubled and i lossed it in one so could i join the army if i got a ear surgury to fix my ear or do i not need surgury

If you are completely deaf in one hear you can't join.
c. Acceptable audiometric hearing levels (both ears) are:
(1) Pure tone at 500, 1000, and 2000 cycles per second of not more than 30 decibels (dB) on the average (each ear), with no individual level greater than 35dB at these frequencies.
(2) Pure tone level not more than 45 dB at 3000 cycles per second each ear, and 55 dB at 4000 cycles per second each ear. |

if you are deaf out of one of your ears you cant join. if you get the surgery to fix it you might be able to join but you will have to pass the hearing at meps. talk to a recruiter, they will be able to tell more about it |
