I am a retired army general, I wonder what sort of career would be suitable for me? please advise?

I have extensive experience i military and intelligence management ad strategy. I have a B.A. in History and a Diploman in military affairs from the Lebanese Army Military College.
I am looking for a job that would allow me to use and build on my past experience and help me grow and advance in my field of work.

You can't possibly be a retired general with grammar like this.
Most, probably all, retired generals get multiple offers from the private sector as they announce their retirement. So stop this charade as it is very disrespectful to legitimate retires officers.

Please tell me you are not serious.

An Army general asking what jobs he could do after retirement? What seems wrong with this? Maybe you are telling the truth, but to be honest it seems really strange that a general would come here to get advice for a post retirement job. Have you tried a job search engine?

I find it hard to believe you were a general. Judging by your writing skills you probably flip burgers at some fast food joint and your friends call you general.

being a retired army general, you shouldn't have to ask us what career would be suitable for you.

If you were truly a retired General you would know the answer. Judging from the current butt kicking Lebanon got from the Israelis and clearance issues to boot with any government.... if you know where to go you shall. Otherwise get a 7/11 or something. Expand on a hobby like cooking or something.

If you are a retired Army General was it in Lebanon?
You sound very educated. Many Army Officers who retire get jobs in the private sector as CEO's for coporations. They are waiting to hire retired military. Like Hewlett Packard, IBM, Microsoft, and more.
If you are looking to tone it down since you are retired, I suggest working in a government position or teach. College professor or military college.
My son is an Officer in the Army and he hope to retire and get into his college Major: Criminal Justice. He has a History Minor.

The FBI and CIA are looking to and hire retired Military often. It is a shoe in as long as you are US born.

Good Luck

Why not an administrative position in the government, or a private security firm, though a retired army general coming here for advice is a little fishy, but good luck to you if you are.

Wait a minute you were in the Lebanese Army.

What about teaching to others what you learned

I believe your credential should land you into something seeming of your previous job, but less ...of a weight.
Lots of options can open if you consider consulting a security firm, or a law enforcement entity. The dept. of homeland security, or border patrol are a couple more. It only comes down to whether you want devout full attention to your job vs. having a role much smaller-part time if you will. Many of the possibilities for you out there only you know- not any of us. we simply just have never been in your shoes and only you know what and how much...er, basically, we dont know what you have done as an accomplished military veteran. So what you prolly need is less of a load in a job, try consulting and/or private management of business and take it easy.
Best wishes to you my friend, you have my utmost respect.

note: I mean all this thinking you are from the states.

You,sir,are full os sh!t!.
No "General" of the US army would have to ask what to do next with his life!
