soldiers aren't stupid its the leaders that mess it up, the soldiers just follow their orders. you don't have to be smart anyways, you just need bravery,courage willingness, and skill in what you do.
if our military were made of stupid people wouldn't it represent our country in the same way? i mean if our troops go somewhere and others see them as stupid wouldn't it bring down the social IQ of the whole country to the others? there is really no reason why they would want the stupid in the miltary its important, quick-paced, and you would need brain. idk what they were thinking, sayin something like that. didn't they know that some of the military people are in fact smart enough to get at them? i would be scared for my life!!
those must be the ones that make up for the slack in the miltary leaders brains!! =) (since they are the ones making the military moves and causing the mishaps)
its not like people are so stupid (that if they were stupid) they would join the army or other military force. if they were stupid wouldn't they know that they couldn't help the military too much even if they do just have to follow orders. (which of course we're not!!! we would not be so good at what we do if it were)

only true men and women join the armed forces, those who will come home a hero, or join great heroes, who join the many people who created this glorious nation, and those who protect(ed) it, I don't believe that a soldier is measured by education or intellect, but willingness to serve till the end, and courage to fight when others flee, I would join, but I don't even reach the age specifications, god bless you, and god bless america!

No I don't and I am also a veteran Air Force person who believes there is a giant difference between Wars of necessity and wars of choice.
These are national choices which the military rightly carries out, but the fact remains that the leaders and apologists of Vietnam and Iraq where just plain wrong and those two war were and are unjust.
That says nothing negative about the military and the good young dedicated men and woman who serve.

I'm sure that what Mr. King said was meaning that with our lowering standards for the military that we will allow anyone into the military which we are just about at. I feel he didn't mean that No one in the military can read but that with the decining level of our recruits that if they can't read we will still find a job for them in the military.

You can evidently read to a certain extent, but you're still fairly dumb. And not because of your grammatical errors (which by the way, tends to detract from your argument).
