I am joining the marines..Is there a chance I will be put as a reserve?

please help..i DO NOT want to be a reserve but is there a chance?

Dare you enlisting in the Marine Corps reserves

Or enlisting in the active duty Marine Corps.

You will go to which ever one you enlist into.

4 years active duty, 4 years inactive ready reserve.

4 years active duty reserve training, 4 years inactive ready reserve.

You will be put on reserve after your four years of whatever but you will not be drilling during that time unless they call you out of inactive ready reserve.

umm, you know you can just enlist in the Marine Corps Reserves right?

joined, do your duty - didn't you have to contract your life away for 4 years? get trained and do your job, the last thing you should worry about is doing an extra 2 years after... The current president will be out of power when you get out. Go with the flow dude.
