it's tough to say for sure, without specifics. I'd say you're gonna be just fine. If you can pass the physical NOW is what counts. The past results will be looked at of course. The possibility is always there with a patient that some detail may be relevant. But it's not an automatic that cause ya did'nt pass the last one, that you'll be turned down. If your weight's fine, and the eardrum patch is as durable and functional as a natural eardrum, there's no reason for them to use it against ya. Specially if you've been cleared by civilian doctors. (I'd get a letter from your doc to take to MEPS saying your O.K. It'll carry alot of weight if ya insist on it being inserted into your medical report file.) I'm impressed with your tenacity and detemernation. Dedication like that seems to be in short supply nowadays, and with it you'll do well in the service.

It's always worth a try. I can't say for hearing surgery, but I had eye surgery and you can't do certain things in the Army if you've had that done.

If they don't take you in the Army try and Air Force, with a degree, it will be a lot easier to get in. But if nobody takes you, there are other ways to serve your country. You've got my respect for trying.

Try for it... don't listen to the recruiters they lie... be careful what job you ask for... with the 4-year degree you could go for warrent officer or OCS but you have to request those, otherwise you would go in as an E-4 (Specialist)... Be strong with the recruiters!!!

Sure you can. You'll just have a hearing profile. They probably wont let you get into anything like artillery though.

If your hearing is fixed and you meet the requirements of the army, I personally do not see why they would not take you this time.

a lot of that will depend on whether the surgery you had is considered "experimental"... believe it or not... RK was considered "experimental" until VERY recently and was not an approved surgery to have.

Whatever you do.... tell the truth... as you are asked the questions. No need to volunteer info that you weren't asked for. I used to tell all of my applicants that I only wanted the truth about everything, that I would deal with any negatives... when it came time for MEPS I would ask if anything has changed since the last time we spoke... then tell the applicant.... "Do NOT develop a MEMORY or a concience... tell me EVERYTHING NOW" Let your recruiter do his job BEFORE you go to MEPS. Remember, they have people there who have ONE job... to get you to change your story... they get paid to do nothing but that.... so you can bet they have had plenty of practice and are quite good at what they do.

I think even if you fail you should be let in, heart goes a long way. You are what the military needs. you have what it takes, if you said was true. I think all you need now is to go kick some A$$. whoha!!

You will get in at this time because they dont mind taking bodies. You will most likely be an officer if you have a 4 yr degree.
