I am trying to join the army but I Just recently got injured, is there any way around that?

So my physical for the army is next weekend! I sold all my things and got ready for the big change in my life. Unfortunately, I seemed to have injured both of my knees playing basketball. I play basketball 3 times a week for the past 4 or 5 years. I never had knee problems before. But during the game I caught sharp pains while running one day on both my knees. I don't have money for a doctor (Reason I am going to the army.) and I am starting to get worried that the injury is serious because it has been well over 2 weeks and I still can not run full strength. Should I put up with the pain of the physical till I sign with the army and then go to a doctor once I am covered by the benefits they give me? Is that even possible? A recruiter said I should try that and it sounded good because I had everything riding on this army thing.

Well, some factors in your case, if you are in your early 20's, you might be able to make it thru basic training with the pain you already have. and if you do, you'll be covered with healthcare as long as you stay in the army. Your other choice is to join the Air Force or the Navy where the physical training is less demanding.
