when I was in there was a guy in my squadron that shot 2 guys as a minor that got a waiver. he was actually a good sailor. he grew up. If you haven't been in trouble since you should be ok.

do some political volunteer work and get some letters of recommendation.

It depends on what the felony was. You just need to talk to your recruiter about it. Some felonies can be waived and you can still get in the military. You also may be able to get in but you might be limited to what MOS's you can chose.

It all depends on the severity of the crime and the type as well. When applying for any branch of service, you must give them all information about prior criminal offenses whether they were expunged/dismissed. Even if you receive a waiver from the recruiter, you may not get a security clearance for the MOS you want to go into. Good luck.
