Why can you not adapt? After 9 months I would think you have been in long enough to get through school and get to Permanent party. The hard part is over.
I never heard of inability to adapt after 6 months being granted. But then again I could be wrong. |

Stop being a lame wussy, and deal with it. In four years you can get back to a civilain life. You should have thought about that before you signed up. Nobody forced you to do so! |

You should complete the term of service you signed up for. |

Grow up and finish your job. You picked it and quitting does not qualify you for manhood. Once You start giving in there is no end to that trail and every obstacle will cause you to change directions. The military can mature You and although there are risk You are not superior to the others that have stood by the contracts they signed. |

9 months is too late for the chapter 11. You can only get that for less than 180 days. If you are in the army, google AR 600-20 and other related discharge(s) Army Regulations.
OR....contact the following, the Chaplain, make a visit to the Mental Health office, or the local Inspector General. However, be sure you can clarify what and why it you are unable to adapt. Your Chain of Command can determine your ability or failure to adapt.
If you have been in for 9 months, what is it that you can adapt to? Keep in mind, if you do get discharged....forget ever joining the military again...even if your balls do drop! |

It's not going to be easy, it's the military. You volunteered and took an oath and signed a legal document committing yourself for the next four years. You're risking a dishonorable discharge, which will haunt you in your career for the rest of your life. Just don't reinlist at the end of your term. Hopefully you won't get stop lost. |

Hey I felt your pain, as I was looking for every trick in the book to leave when I was serving, but I realized about the half way mark in my four years to accept the military for what it was and things got better then my time was up and I said see ya. Remember the old Tick Toc the drill instructors did to say your mine? I just used that trick when I was serving, letting the time Tick Toc away. However my one regret was not using that time to better my position. If you decide to stick it through that is the one thing I recommend is to use that time wisely instead of just trying to kill it, otherwise there are a lot of ways to get out and most of them are negative.
Also don't listen to all the Oh Ra! BS. Those are the people that can not make it out here. Life will get better just hang in there :) Just play the game and walk away when the times up. Hey its not adapting if you think of it as a lease contract, The Army does not own you, they are just leasing you and you get yourself when the time is up. |
