I have what I think is a good habit?

Whenever I see a member of our Armed Forces in uniform I always approach them.
I say I have two words for those of you in our military.
THANK YOU
It amazes me some of the genuine reactions I get.
It has never failed to start at least a nice brief conversation. It is just my way of saying Thank You for the service they provide. If you have never done it try it.
I have been told many times how much they appreciate those two little words. It is not a political statement it is just a thanks for their service to keep us as a free people, free.
Tell me what your thoughts are.
If you like the idea, do it. It sure is an easy way to brighten someones day that sure does deserve to be brightened. I feel they are all hero's.

I have done the same for the last two years only I say " Thanks for your service" . It's amazing how most are stunned by the simple gesture. Give it a try it will make you feel good as well. |
