im leaving for basic after the summer and i was wondering if thier is anyone who is in the same job or works around someone in the AS field. that could tell me a little bit about what im in for. ive read the info telling you what its like just seeing if i could get someone whos been there to tell me what its really like

Yak Rider

You'll work repairing "yellow gear" on an aircraft carrier, big deck amphibious ship or naval air station. At sea a lot of your work will be on the night shift when the equipment isn't being used.

Expect your first assignment to be 3 years of sea duty.
