what if you're in the Air Force [both enlisted] but your husband is in the Navy? How does this work? Do you get to get stationed around your spouse? Please shed some light on this for me. THANK YOU DEARLY!

okay, more info.
he is stationed in Mississippi [gulfport] as a Seabee [logisitics] I am going in Airborne [loadmaster or in-flight refueling] and the closes base to him is only 15 minutes Biloxi, MS [Keesler AFB]. But Keesler isn't a transportation hub; hence my job is kind of on the useless side. =/

Will be hard, it is possible to be stationed close to each other, it takes a lot of coordination and communication between the two of you. |

It doesn't matter enlisted or officer... the military will try to station you near each other (within 50 miles) if possible according to the needs of the Navy/AF. This depends a lot on your job specialties and where they are available. |

you enroll into the joint military spouses. the military doesnt have to station you with your spouse, but they have to attempt to. the most important thing that the military will try and do for you, is to put you both on the same deployment cycle. they usually move the lower ranking individual, or the one that is up for a pcs move the soonest.
oh i'd like to add that when i joined the army my husband at the time was a marine. i submitted a 4187R (requesting to be stationed near my husband). the best the army could do was 150 miles away. but different branches can be placed near each other.. it just makes more paper work and confusion. |

you both need to talk to your CO's and ask them for help. Did you recently get married ? how long have you each been in ? All these Questions are important in the militarys decision on if they will station you neer eachother ! |
