My husband is active duty infantry right now... and he is planning on reenlisting under a new mos, MOS 21R, interior electrician. And we just need some more information.
Where is the training for this school located? I have seen two different answers online.... Sheppard Air Force Base and Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Which one is the correct location of the training?
How long is the training?? I have seen answers ranging from 6 weeks to 9 weeks. Which one is correct?
Is there a certain base that most electricians get sent to? Or can we be sent anywhere?
What are the daily duties? What is the work like? I would love someone who actually has this MOS to answer this part.
Any other information would be helpful. We are just trying to figure out if this MOS would be good for us.

According to the Army Training web site, army 21R trains at Ft Leonard Wood. The classes do look to be about 6 weeks on average. The report date until the end of graduation could tack on an extra week.
He'll get sent wherever the MOS is needed, whether it is a few states over, Germany, or a conflict zone.
I don't have the MOS so that's the limits I can answer this question. |
