Semper Fi is the Marines motto, not the army. So PLEASE don't insult us by getting that on your back. Thanks. |

semper fi is marines not army |

It would be very disrespectful to those who have earned to wear that |

sorry but think you should earn the right |

you should think seriously about it, you don't even know who's motto it is!
Semper Fidelis means "Always Faithful" in latin and is the motto of the US Marines.
It's shortened to Semper Fi for some unknown reason |
|

Semper Fidelis" is Latin for "Always Faithful". It is a term commonly associated with the United States Marine Corps. If you don't know this was a Marine Corps term, and the fact that you associated it with the United States Army shows that you really should choose something else. Maybe Bugs Bunny or Wiley Coyote! |

"Semper Fi" has nothing to do with the Army, it's associated with the Marines.
You also don't need to be in the military to get a tattoo.
Go ahead and get it if you want to, but if people see it, expect to be asked, "When were you in the Marines?" |

That's Marines not Army... And just my personal opinion here but if you do get any military motto tattooed anywhere on your body and you have not served and earned it, then you sooooooo deserve the *** beating you will get when someone who has served sees it and finds out you are a poser! |
|

Only if you want to get the crap beat out of you when a REAL Marine sees that.
Horribly disrespectful! |

semper fi is the marine corps, not the army,
and while LEGALLY theres nothing to stop you from having it say that, just know that there are some people(mostly marines) who will give you a hard time about it.
o and to the best of my knowledge you cant legally get a tattoo till you're 18. |

Just don't admit to a Marine that you're not cuz they'll kick yourAss! |

I dont think thats a good idea cuz what about all the other Marines that really deserve that tattoo....so dont desrespect them by putting "semper fi" on your back... |

you can get any Tattoo you want Semper Fi is the marines not the army though. |

Semper Fi, is a Marine thing not an Army thing. Now you allowed to what you want if your parents are ok with it, but if you get a big Semper Fi tattoo on your back you will just be making things harder on yourself if you join either the Army or especially the Marines. Your remind of the guys who get the Airborne tattoo's and then fail out of jump school. |

 |
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YES, YES, YES, GET THE TATOO AS BIG AS POSSIBLE BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE ARMY!!!!
|
|

Whoops, is this your spleeen?
|
Well, first of all, "Semper Fi" is the slogan of the Marines, NOT the Army. I'd advise waiting until you're old enough to join the Marines - and have done so - before tatooing their slogan on your back. |
|

its better wait and u need to earn those words. and thats marines. so i would strongly disadvise it |
|

THATS DISRESPECTFUL!
I know your intentions may be well, but people earn the right to have that tattoo, anyways, Semper Fi is for the Marine Corps, I'm not sure you know the full meaning of it yet. Please don't get it, unless you join the Marine Corps and actually live by that motto. Thanks. |

Maybe he should get the USMC Tattoo then join the seals wash out and become a cook on a ship. |
|

John Mansfield

Well, at least is better than getting a tattoo which says, "Go Army" and then joining the Marines. |

if your in the UK its legal to have a tattoo at 17 with parents consent
BUT before yoy think about having a tattoo, think long and hard about it, as it will be with you all your life. |

Listen Kid, I think you should retake your ASVAB first. Once you get above 50 percential, ask this question again. But make sure you ask it right, because "semper fi" is not an army slogen and you probably pissed alot of Former Marines off with your ignorance. |

Semper Fidelis = Always Faithfull.
Are you?. |

You are allowed. Just do not go to basic with that on your back, or you will be the DI's pet project. |

No, you're writing, not speaking aloud. |

As long as you have your parents consent and one of them is with you to sign the documents, it should be fine.
(This is the Law in the UK anyway, you didn't say where you was)
Hope this helps! |
