Personally , I would prefer a warrior's death on the field of human endeavor rather than as an elderly man in poor health .

And why do you want this so bad? I have been there and war is no fun. Dying of old age without pain and leaving a good legacy or dying in an orgy at the Hefner mansion might be better if I was you.
Matter of fact, dude just play some Call of Duty 4 and 'die' there. Leave the war for us grown folk. You ask for the wrong things on the web. |

Heh, I'd rather survive and make the enemy die. If I get killed so that my battle buddies live, well then I've done my duty. |

Why do you want to die in battle? Don't you have family or friends that you want to live for? I do not really understand what you mean, whether you are saying you WANT to die, or if you think that would be a good way to go! I do hope it is not for glory as that would be sick!!!!!!!!!!!
I am closely involved with military people and I do not know anyone who wants to die in battle, yeah they love to talk about battles, but I think they would all love to live to fight another day! |

No but I would put my life on the line to defend the U.K. and do my best to survive. |

The enemies aim is to die for his country and you as a soldier (if you are in the army) should be trying to help him achieve this!
You dying is 'nt much use as its loads of paperwork and much pain for your comrades and family and besides you're likely to just get in the way when the rest of your squad will be trying to stay alive.WISE UP! |

I would hope you wouldnt want to really die like this or anybody else. |

Preferable: fight a just war, protect innocent people and help them recover, then return home proud. Really, no use losing yourself in the process. |

I'd rather not die in battle. I'd rather make the other guy die in battle.
I want to die around 98, shot by the jealous husband of a 23 year old wife after being caught making wild, passionate love to her. |

Well i want to kill in battle but I dont WANT to die, I think WANTING to die wold make you a bad soldier. More of a liability then a benefit |

good attitude. You think exactly like me. I cant wait to go to war and if I do die I will die in honour and not of old age or accidently getting run down by a car or something. Respect to all fallen soldiers and men like me and you who enjoy the fight of war. |

I worked in nursing homes . I soldier's death is a whole lot honorable. Maybe my death will set the politicians straight. |

No. That is the motive for islamofascist suicide bombers. Do not choose that path. Those who promise any reward for such action are telling evil lies. |

Make the enemy die for his cause if you can help it. Everybody will die someday anyways. |

Why would you want to die in battle? Wouldn't you rather survive? |

No you are not mate. To die in battle is an honourable death, especially if you die protecting something or someone you love.
It doesn't mean you hope for death or are suicidal, it just means you want your death to mean something.
Most infantry soldiers have faced this question at some point and the ones I served with at least (myself included) came to the same conclusion.
Join the military mate. And good luck. |

no---they all have their reasons of why they want to --so whats yours?? are you serving? |

are you serving?if so so ,where?i only ask because i wouldn't want to be there with you,Ive served my time and been involved in more shootouts then i care to remember and during them my only thoughts on dying were that i would make sure it was the other guy and not me,being in a gun fight with a person who has professed a wish to die in such an incident (as opposed to old age) would not inspire me at all,we are born and then we die and the time line in between needs to be as long as we can make it,your not a better soldier because you were killed in battle, its a waste all round and the main idea if your stuck in a gun fight is to kill as many of the bad guys as possible,so live life to the full, keep your head down and live to tell your grandchildren what a waste war is,i understand what your saying completely but i disagree with your mindset, |
